Agent Context

Follow-up to task-stage-change-log (shipped v94). The TaskEvent stage-change paper trail is live in prod; future agents need docs. KEY FRAMING: the deterministic spine (from/to/occurred_at/seconds_in_from) records on EVERY move with zero agent effort — that's the effortless paper trail. Optional per-transition usage via bin/task move --model/--tokens-in/--tokens-out/--cost/--actor (and API top-level event hash) adds cost attribution; null for non-agent moves. Backfill: rake task_events:backfill. Docs-only diff (kind=docs, dor-check exempt). Targets: docs/agents/modules/task-board-api.md (add event-trail section; that doc is ALSO broadly stale — old 9-stage model/endpoints/slug — add a staleness banner, full refresh is a separate task) and docs/agents/system/devops-cycle-design.md (paper-trail note at the handoff/move guidance). Do NOT edit bin/task (would break the docs exemption); its usage header already shipped the flags.

Heads-up for review: PR #117 touches docs/agents/system/devops-cycle-design.md, which the wire-2-senior-review PR (#123, shipped prod v97) just rewrote (§1.4 + §1.2). This branch was cut before that, so it will CONFLICT on merge into release — rebase onto origin/release (which now carries the §1.4 2-senior cascade rewrite) before the 2-senior review's merge step. Reconcile any stage-event-trail docs against the new §1.4 language.

REBASE DONE (pre-handoff): feat/document-stage-event-trail rebased onto origin/release (3d8708a->c6ca176, force-with-lease). Clean — zero conflicts (the paper-trail blockquote lands in the Build-SOP region, untouched by the wire PR's §1.2/§1.4 rewrite). Verified the rebased devops-cycle-design.md carries BOTH #117's content AND the shipped alex-docs/reviewer-select cascade. Now 1 commit ahead of release, mergeable. Still at submitted for the fresh-session 2-senior review.

2-senior review (reviewer-select: alex-docs heavy + jasper light). BOTH APPROVE. alex-docs verified all spine fields/flags/backfill/stale-flag against live code (task.rb, task_event.rb, current.rb, tasks_controller.rb, routes.rb, schema.rb); confirmed the rebased Build-SOP blockquote doesn't contradict the shipped §1.2/§1.4. jasper independently diffed every claim + confirmed anchors/cross-links resolve. 4/4 criteria met.
